Welcome to my part of the internet where anything that can go wrong…probably will. I’ve been working, slowly, over the last year trying to figure out HTML and all the stuff that goes with it so that my little tiny Mouse Blog could become a reality.
It was meant to be not just for my own entertainment, but for my family who is 2200 miles away from me. A place for them to come and bask in the insanity that is my brain and read all that spills out of it. Hopefully this works, and they will enjoy reading all the things I have to say and keep them updated on everyday life. I figure it’s easier to do this than have them wait once or more a year to see me. And hopefully anyone else who gets a hold of it will enjoy it too!
Maus if you’re wondering means Mouse. If I could have called it Mouse Bytes I would have but the name was already taken. It was either this, or something silly like The Daily Noodle, which probably would have been hysterical, and I do have an idea for that name, but Mouse Bytes stuck so bad in my tiny brain it wouldn’t leave so I had to have it! Thus Maus Bytes was created!
Maus Bytes was given to me by my husband. He threw the name at me as I was piddling around one day trying to come up with a name for an idea that consisted of my own ramblings, stories, opinionated news articles, and recipes. It stuck like glue! I seriously couldn’t get rid of it and played around with logos for days! The idea was just perfect for news and story bites and a play on the word BYTES which deals with computers as well.
So here I am, trying to figure out what I’m doing, playing with themes and ideas, trying to write good stories on anything I see and read, deal with in life, and share the food that I make and love everyday! I’m even going to be brave and post my art!
I’m hoping that I’ll get some readers, and eventually begin an adventure into the blogging world of news reporting and story writing. Hopefully I’ll be able to go to school someĀ day and take a creative writing class, for one day I really would like to write a book and just share my ramblings with people.
